2010 Laker Parade Pictures

Yo yo! Here are some pictures that I took while at the parade. I didn't take too many of the actual players because I was taking a video as they came by. But, these should give you an idea of how awesome it was. I know the pictures say otherwise, but it was pretty easy to get around this year. No traffic getting there, no traffic getting back. We were there around 5am and left at almost 1pm. Good stuff. Too lazy to put captions on all these pictures so just check them out. Until here!

First 3D Post

Hello everyone! I know I forgot to post last month. Last month was especially hectic with my family in town and lots of other stuff. But, as a way to kind of make up for it, i'm doing my very first 3D post! Hahaha which is kind of weird because I've been doing 3D for a while now and I do it every day at work. Anyhow, we had a slow day at work today so I thought I would see if I remembered how to use Zbrush. Turns out I do! So here's what I came up with. First I quickly sketched out turnarounds of a bust of this Demon Monster dude. Then, I built the base mesh in Maya. Then, I went into Zbrush and started sculpting away! This was done in a few hours. I didn't take too much time on it. Anyway, hope you can dig it! Until here, peace!

Joe Ranft

What up, my people. This month, I decided to dedicate my post to an amazing artist that passed away, Joe Ranft. Anyone in animation knows who he is. He was a part of Pixar's "Brain Trust". A terrible loss for the animation world. This is a caricature of Joe done with blue col-erase and graphite. Until here!

Hello, once again. I'm doing pretty well this year, I would say. Posting fairly regularly. I wanted to post this one earlier, but this was the first in a new sketchbook and I'm always so pressured to make the first page good so people will want to keep looking. Haha. Anyhow, I did a bunch of thumbnails but I never got to one that I liked. Then I finally decided that I was putting too much pressure on myself, so I just went for it and had fun. Hope it is satisfactory! I did this one with Red and Blue Col-Erase, Copic black and French Grays, and graphite. Hope you can dig it!

McFly and an Ewok

Greetings, everyone. Could this be it? Could this be the year that I actually post regularly? I've gotten the urge to draw A LOT. I draw on a fairly regular basis, but I've been bitten by the inspiration bug which has caused me to draw a whole lot more. We'll see how long this lasts. Haha. Anyhow, here two pieces that I did in my sketchbook that I just filled up. Marty McFly, red col-erase and graphite. And an Ewok, col-erase, graphite, copics, white charcoal. Can you dig it? Happy New Year, Sketch book dump

Hello, again. Umm.... Happy New Year!!! Haha, wow that sounds bad. Last time I posted, it was friggin' 2009, and now it's 2010.... Awesome. ANYHOW, I have come to the conclusion that I'm not very good at this posting regularly stuff. Just not. BUT, maybe this year will be my year. So let's start this year with a sketch book dump. Noir Poster

Hello, once again. It's been too long... again... I know. I have failed miserably at what I've tried to accomplish on my blog. Bummer. But it's still a place for me to vent, post artwork, and such so here I am. Doing what I do. Work has gotten VERY busy. GOOD busy. That, on top of all the other projects I'm working on, has caused me to neglect my blog. Sucks, I know. Hopefully, I'll get better at it soon enough. Anyhow, here's another speed painting.
