Meanwhile, while rendering...

Yo yo. I know it's been some time again. Haven't really had the time to actually post anything. Things have been busy at work. GOOD busy. Anyhow, here's a piece that I did while rendering some things. My co-worker has this awesome Hellboy toy on his desk next to mine so I thought, why not. Done with the usual traditional materials I use: red col-erase, copic blacks, copic french greys, and white charcoal. I hope it is satisfactory. Til' next time!

Thoughts and Rorschach

Hello, again. So before I launch into explaining this piece I would like to shed some light on what I've been up to and what's been happening lately.

I recently graduated college. Woohoo! It felt that way for about the first two weeks then I began to find myself being extremely bored very often regardless of all the art I was producing. At one point, I wanted to make a phone call using the house phone, so I walked around my house for about thirty minutes to discover that we didn't have a house phone anymore! Makes sense though, who needs one with all these cell-phones nowadays? Then after many profound things going on in my brain, I started to doubt my value as an artist.

BUT! Good news. There are things in the works and they are beginning to look up. I'll be posting up soon, hopefully, on how things turn out. But for now, on to the post!

Very cool character from Watchmen. Reading it again lately. Trying to refresh memory for the movie soon to be released. Lying in sketchbook for a while. Thought it time to post. Materials used: HB Graphite Pencil, Tombow Brush Pen, Prisma Color Markers, White Charcoal. Must take note of charcoal smearing if left in sketchbook for too long.

Peace (haha)

Several Phases of Funny Faces

Hey there! It's finally vacation. Good quarter all around. I'm very pleased with how my work turned out for this past quarter. There are certain things that I wish could've done more with but hey, you can't have it all. Anyhow, here's a page from my one of my sketchbooks. Cheers!

Frozen Charlotte Illustration

Hey again, this is a piece that I did for one of my illustration classes. It's based off of the poem "Frozen Charlotte" (Young Charlotte). This quarter has been making me draw A LOT and I'm LOVING IT! Til' here!

Batman

Here's a Batman I did recently. I used red col-erase, tombow brush pen, and prisma markers.

Quick Brush Pen Sketches

Here are a few brush pen quick sketches that I've done. These are just select few that I kind of take a liking to. I want to go back over them with watercolor keeping the palette monochromatic. I'll post that up as soon as it's done. Til' here!
